Esta nota se filmó el 14 de Agosto de 2008, en el pequeño poblado de Lucio V. López, durante un encuentro de quienes impulsaban la concreción del Parque de Estudio y Reflexión "Carcarañá", que unos meses después ya exhibía sus primeras construcciones.
En la nota Gabriel Gomez Fiori le pregunta al Humanista Fernando García (*) sobre varios temas, comenzando por la presentación que hizo meses antes del libro "El Mensaje de Silo" y por qué lo considera un libro "fundador de civilizaciones"…
Más adelante entrando a los temas de la espiritualidad una frase sorprende…
Fernando García: "Se terminó la necesidad de tutores… de intermediarios entre Dios y los Hombres… el mensaje de esta época es que cada uno bucee dentro de sí mismo y encuentre esa verdad, esa sabiduría, esa bondad, sin necesidad que le digan desde afuera lo que es bueno y lo que es malo, sino que lo encuentre dentro de su propio corazón, de su propia experiencia".
¿te parece que el Ser humano ya está en condiciones de desarrollar esa búsqueda sin tutores?
– Me parece que sí, me parecece que está surgiendo, está teniendo distintas expresiones, por supuesto que eso hasta que llegue a dominar el espacio social, o cultural, o religioso, o espiritual, va tomar tiempo, pero eso ya está en marcha.
Silo aclara, además, que hay que respetar la libertad total de que las personas puedan creer en lo que quieran …
– Es parte de los nuevos tiempos eso. Silo está poniendo en palabras lo que está sucediendo…. ese crecimiento del ser humano al que ya le quedan chicas las vestiduras de antaño. Está buscando expresarse el ser humano.

Fernando, has vivido en muchos países, has estado en contacto con la pobreza y la riqueza, paises en guerra civil por cuestiones religiosas, vivencias muy lindas y muy feas… ¿qué mensaje darías hoy?
– Toda esa expriencia lo que me ha hecho es convencerme más que nunca de la necesidad de lo que estamos haciendo como humanistas. Esa misión de "Humanizar la Tierra" es hoy más necesaria que nunca. En el caso del Asia, de India, he estado en contacto diario y muy crudo con formas de extrema pobreza, de extrema orfandad en la gente, de inasistencia, y eso me ha reforzado la Fe más que nunca de la necesidad de ese cambio. Y eso me ha tocado el corazón.
El humanismo no es solamente una filosofía sino también una forma de vida, un sentimiento… entonces ese sentimiento se ha visto reforzado más que nunca, se ha visto potenciado en contacto con el sufrimiento de la gente. De todas maneras eso no me ha abatido sino al contrario, me ha hecho redoblar mi esfuerzo en todo caso. Y bueno, ahora me la traigo para Occidente esa Fe, esa energía renovada…
Y seguramente seguirás por muchos años haciendo estas cosas…
Ojalá! Ojalá que sí y juntos ! además.

Fernando, you have lived in many countries, has been in contact with poverty and wealth, countries in civil war for religious reasons, experiences very nice and very ugly … What message would you give today?
– All that expriencia what I have done is more than ever convinced of the need for what we do as humanists. The mission of "humanizing the Earth" is more necessary than ever. In the case of Asia, from India, I have been in daily contact and very crude forms of extreme poverty, extreme orphanhood in people, of absence, and that has strengthened the faith more than ever the need for such change. That touched my heart.
Humanism is not only a philosophy but a way of life, a feeling … then that feeling has been reinforced more than ever, has been strengthened in touch with the suffering of the people. So anyway I have not killed but instead, has made me redouble my efforts anyway. Well, now I bring it to the West that Faith, that renewed energy …
